‘20 more victims’ of Fred West
VICTIMS of Fred West may be spread across England and Wales, an investigation shows.
It is partly based on comments byWest that he and wife Rose killed a girl in Birmingham in 1993 – and that there were 20 more victims.
Former detective chief inspector Colin Sutton, West expert Howard Sounes and investigative psychologist Donna Youngs have obtained timesheetsWest handed in each week when he worked as a builder.
These show that rather than being based in Gloucester, he worked in many places such as London, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol and areas of Wales. The police tell the team of 96 “significant” locations linked to theWests.
In a two-part ITV show which also looks at 110 hours of interviews with West, a woman who is adamant that he approached her in a Bristol car park in 1987 tells the team: “He was standing there with legs astride. Leather jacket, dark curly hair.”
