It’s time for Patel to back strong words with actions

I HOPE this will happen (“Migrants will be turned back to France”, September 9), because everything else Priti Patel promised hasn’t happened.We’re coming down hard on knife crime? Really? I hadn’t noticed fewer crimes in the news.

Will they return the migrants who are living in hotels with free board back to France as well as the ones who arrive on our beaches?

The clampdown should have been in force years ago.We need someone in charge who will get things moving.The migrants are President Macron’s responsibility, not ours. So come on Priti, you talk the talk, now walk the walk.
