Seagulls cap local history day with win

BRENTFORD 0 BRIGHTON 1

- JON WEST

BRIGHTON had 10 full internationals on the pitch for the first time in their history when Adam Webster limped off. Jakub Moder, below, who had helped Poland hold England to a draw in midweek, replaced Webster.A maiden Spain cap for keeper Robert Sanchez against Georgia the previous weekend left former Bee and France U21 striker Neal Maupay as the odd man out. “I’m very proud – it’s great that they can be involved in their national teams, it’s great we have that diversity and togetherness,” said Seagulls manager Graham Potter. Belgium winger Leandro Trossard scored late when he accepted Alexis Mac Allister’s pass, dribbled along the 18-yard line and slotted home.
