Music: When Nirvana Came To Britain, BBC2, 11.15pm

Documentar­y examining Nirvana’s visits to the UK between 1989 and 1994, with contributi­ons by former members Krist Novoselic, who founded the band alongside Kurt Cobain (left), and Dave Grohl. The programme charts their rise from performing in pubs and small venues through to TV appearance­s on shows such as The Word and Top Of The Pops – moments that helped to cement their status as one of the biggest rock bands in the world.

Documentar­y: The Women Who Run Hollywood, Sky Arts, 7pm

Filmmakers Clara and Julia Kuperberg uncover the fascinatin­g forgotten tales of the women who once ruled Hollywood. The documentar­y reveals women’s historic role in the now male-dominated world of film, taking a look at the stories of those who were major figures in the early days of cinema. Featuring archive footage and interviews with industry insiders.

Lifestyle: Shop Well For Less?, BBC1, 8pm

A show that’s on a mission to change people’s spending habits – without changing their lifestyle. Gavin & Stacey actress Joanna Page (far left) and presenter Melanie Sykes (near left) are back this week with more savvy money-saving tips and tricks. In the final episode of the series the pair help a Gloucester family stop spending on store cards and credit, and start using what they already have, to save for a new kitchen. Steve and Sarah come face to face with the extent of their cash flow crisis, in a surprise shop made up of their belongings to show them where all their money is going. But will the family take on Mel and Jo’s advice?

Health: How To Stop Your Migraines, C5, 7pm

Dr Dawn Harper (above, second left) examines migraines, a health condition that affects one in seven people in the UK. Throughout the programme she chats to severe sufferers who feel their lives are on hold, and gets to the bottom of the misunderst­andings and myths surroundin­g the condition. Dr Harper also takes a look at what remedies ease the symptoms, from Botox to sea-swimming and cutting-edge drugs.

Film: The Graduate, BBC4, 9pm

This Oscar-winning comedy drama tells the story of recent college graduate Benjamin Braddock who returns home to discover a new “tutor” in the attractive form of Mrs Robinson. The alcoholic, older married woman decides that Benjamin needs instructio­n in more physical matters following all the demands on his intellect. But Benjamin is smitten with Mrs Robinson’s daughter Elaine. Starring Dustin Hoffman (right), Katharine Ross and Anne Bancroft.
