Cyclists should be made to follow the same laws

HOW shocking that precedence is now to be given to cyclists on the road (“Don’t fall foul of the new rules of the road”, January 27).

All drivers are expected to pass a competence test, be insured and have their vehicles tested to show that they are fit for the road.

It’s about time cyclists are made to comply to the same rules.
