Critics should realise the damage they are doing

MIKE O’Farrell was quite right to say what he did (“Cricket boss: I’m sorry for saying black youngsters prefer football”, January 26).

Some Asian families will tell you they would rather their children become doctors, lawyers etc than play either sport.

It is also a fact that Indian and Pakistani background players outnumber black players in professional cricket.

Before people complain about others, maybe they should check the facts and realise that their actions damage race relations.
