There are more important issues than ‘party’ politics
I TOTALLY agree that there has been an overreaction to Partygate (“This callous witch-hunt is not a priority”, Letters, January 26).
My sister died during lockdown and I could not attend her funeral. While she was dying thousands of people were crowding beaches across Britain, thinking that they deserved a break from lockdown as it was a sunny day.
There was no connection between my sister’s death and those people on the beach, although I hope that none of them are hypocritical enough to complain to their MP about parties.
There are many more important issues to deal with.
