EASYJET HAS THAT SKY-HIGH FEELING
EASYJET says it is on track for a strong summer, thanks to the easing and removal of travel restrictions in the UK and Europe.
Chief executive Johan Lundgren said its first quarter losses had halved, primarily due to a pick up in demand in October and November.
While the emergence of Omicron halted its momentum and will continue to do so in the short term, he predicted that easyJet would have a “strong summer”.
Lundgren said: “We see a strong summer ahead, with pent-up demand that will see easyJet returning to near 2019 levels of capacity with UK beach and leisure routes performing particularly well.”
