RAMS GET MORE TIME
CASH-STRAPPED Derby have been handed a one-month stay of execution to prove they can stay in business.
The Rams had been given until Tuesday to show they have enough funds to fulfil fixtures.
But the EFL have now agreed to a month’s extension after talks with the Championship club’s administrators.
Three buyers are in the frame to take over but discussions have not thrown forward a preferred bidder.
Yesterday’s announcement allows them extra time to keep negotiations going while also helping to continue to fulfil the fixtures of Wayne Rooney’s side.
