Documentary: Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind, Sky Arts, 9pm
An intimate portrait of the life and work of the beloved comedian and actor, Robin Williams (left), who was most well known for his roles in films such as Mrs Doubtfire, Jumanji, Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets Society. This documentary features previously never seen footage and interviews with those closest to him. Williams was a comic genius at the top of his game but behind the scenes the star battled depression and addiction.
Animals: The Dog House, C4, 8pm
It’s double trouble this evening as the team of expert dog-matchers at Wood Green, The Animals Charity, attempt to find a home for bonded pair Poppy and Bron. However, trying to find a home that will accept two dogs is a big challenge. Elsewhere, fine artist Ron is introduced to Chip the terrier cross and Margaux the mongrel, while saluki Harry (above) needs to overcome his nerves if he is to find owners.
Documentary: Caroline: The Murder That Fooled The World, C5, 9pm
This 90-minute documentary tells the tragic story of Caroline Crouch, a British woman in Greece who was found dead on her bed beside her alive 11-month-old baby girl. Caroline had been murdered in the early hours of the morning at her home in a wealthy suburb of Athens, suffocated as she slept. Her husband told the police she was killed by a gang of foreign burglars who broke into their home and tied them both up. However, what appeared to be an idyllic life between Caroline and her partner was revealed to be far darker as she was frightened of him and had been looking for somewhere else to live days before her murder.
Sport: Winter Olympics – Today At The Games, BBC2, 7pm
Clare Balding looks back at the highlights from the past 24 hours, including figure skating, alpine skiing and the final round-robin curling games for GB’s men and women. Russian Kamila Valieva began the women’s figure skating as firm favourite, despite being just 15. Elsewhere, the USA’s Mikaela Shiffrin (above) was hoping to add another title to her impressive CV.
Film: The Deer Hunter, BBC4, 10.30pm
Oscar-winning war drama featuring a star-studded cast including a young Robert De Niro (right), Christopher Walken and Meryl Streep. The plot begins in a small steel town in Pennsylvania, where three close friends plan their final hunting trip before they leave for service in Vietnam. Ahead of them lies a shattering experience at the hands of the Viet Cong that will change their lives forever. Even those who survive can’t escape the inhumane events they’ve witnessed.
