Documentar­y: Tan France: Beauty And The Bleach, BBC2, 9pm

Tan France, (left), stylist and presenter of Netflix show Queer Eye, sets out on a quest to unearth the truth about colourism, where you are judged not only on the colour of your skin but by the shade of it, and the impact it has on people all over the world. France investigat­es the worrying trend which exists in black, Asian and Middle Eastern communitie­s across the UK and beyond as people go to extreme lengths to chase the “white beauty” ideal. He also chats to singer Kelly Rowland (left), who has been vocal about her experience­s of colourism and reveals his own deeply personal experience of bleaching his skin when he was just nine years old.

Emma Willis, Nick Grimshaw (left) and the team head to Suffolk to meet Shaz and Zarqa, who are overwhelme­d by the scale of change needed in their home. With toys everywhere and no space to call their own, the parents are exhausted by the constant tidying up. To make matters worse, the kitchen is not fit for purpose, meaning they often eat fast food. Designer Alex Dauley comes up with a series of solutions to bring calm back into the home and improve their lives.

An English schoolgirl tries to hide her passion for football from her strict Indian parents, knowing they disapprove of her tomboyish love of the game. However, when a semi-profession­al player sees her in action she is offered a place on a team, forcing her to come up with a plan to keep her sporting career under wraps. Comedy, featuring Parminder Nagra and Ameet Chana (both above) and Keira Knightley.

Documentar­y: Secrets Of The Fast Food Giants, C5, 7pm

Alexis Conran (above) continues his mission to uncover the secrets of the nation’s favourite takeaway treats and turns his attention towards a fast-food favourite – burgers. He also gets his hands on an unconventi­onal takeaway pizza recipe and takes a peek behind the scenes at a well-known high street burrito chain. Alexis will be joined by a takeawaylo­ving couple who order in several times a week.

History: England’s Forgotten Queen: The Life And Death Of Lady Jane Grey, BBC4, 9pm

Medieval and Tudor historian Helen Castor presents this intriguing docu-drama piecing together the tale of Lady Jane Grey (right) who was the de-facto first reigning queen of England for nine days in 1553. In this opening episode, Helen investigat­es an incendiary document written on his deathbed by King Edward VI that cut his sister Mary Tudor out of the line of succession and left the throne to his cousin Jane.
