Documentar­y: Will Young: Losing My Twin Rupert, C4, 10.05pm

Will Young (far left) lost his twin brother Rupert (left) in July 2020 after a 20-year struggle with alcoholism. In this candid, honest and moving documentar­y, the successful singersong­writer and actor talks about the pain of coping with a loved one’s addiction and sets out to understand the impact that alcoholism can have on families. Among those that the first Pop Idol winner in 2002 meets on tonight’s programme, are a podcaster and campaigner who has battled her own issues with alcohol and an expert who works on the front line of addiction treatment. He also examines whether there was enough medical support for his brother at the time.

Comedy: Derry Girls, C4, 9pm

Ma Mary (Tara Lynne O’Neill, left) and Aunt Sarah are determined to put on a good show as they prepare for the highly anticipate­d class of 1977 school reunion. It seems like only yesterday that their own gang were beyond excited about the upcoming school leavers’ party. But will the long-hidden truth come out about what really happened on that fateful night 20 years ago in the third and final series of Lisa McGee’s awardwinni­ng, candid sitcom set in 1990s Derry?

DIY SOS: The Big Build, BBC1, 8pm

Nick Knowles meets Kettering mum of four Lindsey, who married her ex-Royal Engineer husband Shaun (above, with Lindsey) in December 2019, after which they began to extend their home. But a few months later Shaun was struck down with cancer and died in November 2021, leaving Lindsey with an unfinished home. The DIY SOS team, along with local trades and Shaun’s army friends, step in to finish the job.

Drama: Life After Life, BBC2, 9pm

If you could live your life time and again, would you ever get it right? Ursula dies and is reborn, living through turbulent times – but what is it she needs to stay alive for? In tonight’s concluding episode, Ursula grapples with life and death in the Blitz. As the future of England hangs in the balance, Ursula attempts to save Teddy, and the country, from an inevitable fate. With Thomasin McKenzie (above, left) and Joshua Hill.

Factual: Jay Blades: No Place Like Home, C5, 9pm

Jay retraces his footsteps as a teenager in east London, revisiting some of his old haunts and uncovers their extraordin­ary histories and the people behind them. Jay (right) discovers how his old road was totally transforme­d by a V-1 rocket during the Second World War, before he treads the boards of the local theatre where he used to hang out, uncovering its rich and dynamic history as a music hall venue that rivalled West End venues.
