Marriage plans for killer are obscene

-

I THOUGHT it was a joke when I heard serial killer, kidnapper and rapist Levi Bellfield has applied to get married.

This is a man whose murder victims include Milly Dowler, a schoolgirl with her whole life in front of her until he snuffed it out. The man is a monster, an inhuman piece of garbage who deserves to be given a lethal injection. Except that we don’t do that so we keep him locked up for the rest of his life, which costs us a fortune.

Now he wants to get married because somebody has been writing to him and visiting him and they have fallen in love!

My first thoughts are that anyone who might want to marry him needs psychiatric help and should be banned from going to see him. And he needs to be told that his life doesn’t mean anything and that he will be facing four walls on his own for the rest of his natural life.

Getting married is something Milly Dowler never got to do. Nor Marsha McDonnell, nor

Amélie Delagrange. Bellfield has shown no remorse whatsoever.

If the authorities allow this monster to marry then I hope they will suffer the wrath of the nation.

SO THE Prime Minister wants to cut 91,000 civil service jobs. How would we even notice they were gone?

It’s not like the country would grind to a halt without them. Boris is only talking about returning to what the civil service employed six years ago.

Somehow the number on the public payroll has crept up to the equivalent of 475,000 jobs, and it seems to me that many are still on their settees watching television or, as they call it, working from home.

Regular readers will know I think too many of them have jobs for life and don’t feel the need to do too much work. Or, maybe they don’t agree with the Government so don’t do what they are asked to do.

Maybe now they are not so untouchable.

The £3.5billion the Government could save on those jobs would be far better spent helping people with their fuel bills.
