Another fresh, largely unoaked chardonnay with flavours of peach and limes and a delicious fruity aroma upon opening. Available from Majestic.
4 Journey’s End Chardonnay (£10, 13%)
Hints of vanilla, tropical fruits and a just touch of oakiness combine with a long, creamy finish to produce a pleasant, moreish chardonnay from the Schapenberg Hills in South Africa’s stunning Stellenbosch region. Available from Sainsbury’s.

A white wine so sharp it should be dressed in a pin-striped suit and sporting a bowler hat and briefcase. Crisp, textured and very refreshing, aromas of white fruit and lemons precede a long finish. Available from The Wine Society.
