Moyes puts Lingard above Danjuma bid
WEST HAM chiefs are split on a £38million move for Arnaut Danjuma – with David Moyes wanting to prioritise signing Jesse Lingard.
The board are willing to finance the Danjuma deal but manager Moyes favours a reunion with former loanee Lingard, 29, who is a free agent after leaving Manchester United.
West Ham have held talks with Villarreal for Danjuma, 25, and are willing to trigger the former Bournemouth winger’s release clause – although Moyes is believed to have reservations.
They have made a lucrative proposal to Lingard and are yet to receive a response.
Danjuma is willing to hold out until January for the move and is happy in Spain, but his hand could be forced by Villarreal’s need to raise funds.
