Film: Sleeping With The Enemy, C5, 10.30pm
An emotionally abused wife fakes her own death to escape her violent, obsessional husband. She moves to a new town and starts a new life under an assumed identity. However, her brutal spouse realises she is still alive and resolves to hunt her down. The plot of Fatal Attraction is turned on its head here, with the obsessive aggressor a crazed husband who just won’t let his wife go. Tense thriller, starring Julia Roberts, who acquits herself well in a grittier part and Patrick Bergin (right), who relishes his bad-guy role, as director Joseph Ruben generates some effective chills along the way. Co-starring Kevin Anderson and Elizabeth Lawrence.
Comedy: Ghosts, BBC1, 8.50pm
Welcome return of the side-splitting, spectral comedy, which is now in its fourth series. As Mike and Alison welcome the first guests to their new bijoux B&B, the desperate pair employ the skills of Lady Button and Julian to ensure their oblivious guests leave a positive review. Elsewhere, Thomas is perplexed yet secretly thrilled by the sudden attention from the Plaguers, who are now affording him celebrity status. Starring Charlotte Ritchie, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Simon Farnaby (left).
Travel: World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys, C5, 8pm
Globetrotting documentary featuring a coast-to-coast journey through the Australian outback. On board the iconic Indian Pacific, cameras focus on the spectacular Blue Mountains, best known for its soaring sandstone ridges blanketed in native bushland. There’s also a look at one of the oldest steam railways in Australia, the Zig Zag Railway. Narrated by Bill Nighy.
Lifestyle: Martin Compston’s Scottish Fling, BBC2, 9.30pm
Actor Martin and TV presenter Phil MacHugh (above) travel along the coast from St Andrews to Aberdeen, challenging expectations by revealing the surprising side of some well-known places. Starting in the home of golf, the duo take to the beach made famous by the movie Chariots Of Fire to indulge in a spot of land yachting with brothers Jamie and Guy McKenzie.

Documentary revealing the legacy of Orbison (right) as a beloved rock legend behind ten top-10 hits in the UK between 1960 and 1966, including three No.1 singles. Intimate interviews with his three sons, Alex, Roy Jr and Wesley Orbison, shed light on the immense talent and fierce determination that provided the driving force behind their father’s success and how his family life offered a strong spiritual base to escape the pressures of the rock ’n’ roll lifestyle.
