Airports to cut queues
PASSENGER rules that cause airport security delays are set to be axed in 2024, reports suggest.
Currently travellers can only take aboard liquids under 100ml.
But the introduction of advanced CT security scanners at major UK airports by mid-2024 could lead to shorter queues. It will also see a drastic drop in the use of plastic bags used to hold liquid containers.
John Holland-Kaye, chief executive of Heathrow, said: “We have just started the expansion of the security area in Terminal 3 which will have more CT scanners.”
