LAWYER TO PROBE RAAB OVER ‘BULLYING’
A TOP lawyer will investigate allegations of bullying behaviour by Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab.
Rishi Sunak has appointed commercial and employment law specialist Adam Tolley KC over two formal complaints about Mr Raab’s conduct.
Downing Street has indicated Mr Tolley could also look at claims related to his time as foreign secretary and his first stint in the Ministry of Justice.
Mr Raab, who returned as Justice Secretary, requested the independent inquiry after the formal complaints. He denies acting improperly.
Mr Sunak is not obliged to act on any findings by the investigation. Downing Street said the report will be published in full but would not put a timeframe on the inquiry.
The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said the lawyer had been appointed to “conduct the investigation, establish the facts and provide his findings”.
