Winning Lottery strategy

-

THE National Lottery is more popular than ever, as shown by figures revealing record sales of £4.1billion in the first half of the year.

This has allowed it to hand over nearly £1billion to good causes over six months. Operator Camelot is rightly proud of its achievements and says the Lottery has “never been in better shape”.

This success was not inevitable, however, and ticket sales were falling before Camelot chief executive Nigel Railton was bought in to revive the Lottery in 2017.

He worked wonders and a fantastic amount of money has been raised to keep communities in great shape and support events which raised a cheer.

Czech operator Allwyn is to take over management of the Lottery next February, and of course we hope it will enjoy the same enormous success. Nonetheless, Camelot under Mr Railton’s leadership will be a hard act to follow.Thank you for all you have achieved.
