Victim lived ‘in constant fear’
A CONVICTED murderer has been given a third life sentence for historical sex offences against a youngster.
Alun Kyte, known as the Midlands Ripper, was found guilty of 11 offences involving a boy who was just nine when the attacks began.
The abuse in Staffordshire lasted for five years from the late 1980s and included two rapes.
Kyte, 58, is serving two life terms with a minimum of 25 years for the murders of two sex workers and was eligible for parole in 2025.

But he was handed another life sentence at Nottingham Crown Court, with a least 10 years and eight months, after a judge said he inflicted “extreme” violence on his victim.
In an impact statement, Kyte’s victim said he has depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.
He said: “I grew up feeling scared and vulnerable. I would live in constant fear of when I was going to be abused next.”
A jury heard Kyte gave the boy 50p after the first assault and threatened his family after each attack.
The boy was punched, kicked, choked, taunted and dragged up a flight of stairs.The victim said at times he was strangled until unconscious. He was so scared Kyte would harm his family he decided to “get it over and done with”.
Kyte said the “made-up” events “never happened”. However he was found guilty of four counts of indecency with a child, three of attempting to choke, two of indecent assault on a male and two further offences.
In 1999 Kyte was found guilty of a rape in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, in 1997 and given a seven-year term.
In 2000 he was jailed for murdering Samo Paull, 20, in 1993 and fellow sex worker Tracy Turner, 30, in 1994.
Single mum Ms Paull met Kyte in Birmingham and her body was found 40 miles away near the M1.
Ms Turner met Kyte at M6 services and the victim’s body was found 50 miles away. He admitted Ms Turner’s murder but denied killing Ms Paull.
