Help planet to halt unrest

THE best way for the Government to deal with the disruption caused by environmental protesters is to demonstrate beyond doubt that it takes climate change seriously.

Lord Deben, the UK’s most senior climate adviser, has warned that a “very large number of people” believe that “their whole lives are threatened”.

The extreme weather, threats to food supplies and mass refugee movements will multiply if climate change is not contained.

Our irritation at zealots should not blind us to the urgency of saving our planet.
