Stacey (left) brings her DIY and design skills to the Forest of Dean to help Katie and Chris, who are scared to start renovating their first home. Having lost confidence following an bad experience with tradespeople, their vision of transforming the kitchen and dining room of their semi is on hold. Stacey shows them how to tackle some ambitious jobs. But the couple have just £15,000 to spend, so Stacey is going to need clever solutions to bring their build in on budget.

This eighth James Bond film marks Roger Moore’s first tour of duty as 007. Investigating the deaths of three British agents, Bond finds himself up against mysterious “Mr Big”, a New York drug baron with plans for world domination. The trail leads to New Orleans and the Caribbean, where Bond discovers a sinister voodoo cult as well as beautiful tarot-card reader Solitaire (Jane Seymour, above, with Moore).
Documentary: A Very British Sex Scandal: The Love Child And The Secretary, C5, 9pm
He was a government minister at the height of Margaret Thatcher’s premiership – and some thought he might become prime minister himself one day. But Cecil Parkinson’s political career ended with his ministerial resignation in 1983, after news broke of his 12-year affair with his secretary Sara Keays, who was also expecting his child. The shame of the sex scandal overshadowed that year’s Conservative Party conference, leading Parkinson (left) to resign from his Trade Secretary post. Featuring contributions from famous faces including Edwina Currie, Ian Hislop and Matthew Parris.
Animals: The Dog House, More4, 7.55pm
Tonight at Woodgreen Pets Charity, an American bulldog affectionately known as “Buddy the clown” throws his weight around with intrepid Manchester couple Katie and James. Meanwhile, after being found living in a field, 12-year-old terrier Tiddles gets to enjoy a makeover at the groomers – and it is hoped that his freshly spruced-up look will convince the Bradford family that age is just a number.
Factual: The Motorway, C5, 8pm
As we welcome back the documentary that follows emergency patrol teams, it’s straight in at the deep end as they first deal with a freak accident and a family in shock when a lorry’s wheel comes off on the motorway and destroys their car. Heavy rain brings floods, blocked drains and a high-speed aquaplaning disaster on the M42, while a pedestrian puts lives in danger by sprinting across eight lanes of the M6 at night, and then assaults a patrol officer attempting to stop him.
