I can’t figure out Melissa drug row

-

WHY did people savage Barbra Streisand for asking Melissa McCarthy whether her dramatic weight loss was down to Ozempic? McCarthy’s Twitter followers slated the star, inset, for being “cruel and insensitive”.

She was neither. It’s perfectly normal to ask pals how they’ve lost weight, because most of us are desperate to know how others do it.

So why all the snottiness because the actress might have taken Ozempic? Is it because people are jealous and convince themselves it’s somehow cheating? As someone who’s just lost four stone on Ozempic/Wegovy (and have never felt better), I can tell you it’s not a miracle fix, there are some side-effects and you still have to work at losing weight.

But it DOES work, as long as you use a reputable provider (mine’s called Juniper). Ozempic just makes it easier. And what the hell’s wrong with that?

Look at the Hollywood celebs who’ve used it to give them a helping hand – Rebel Wilson, Oprah Winfrey, Elon Musk, Robbie Williams. All have lost tons of weight and all look fabulous.

The NHS is buckling under the cost of obesity-related diseases and has called Ozempic a game-changer. As 60 per cent of Brits are overweight or obese, it needs to be – because people are dying before their time. So less of the snottiness, please!
