- Deputy Conservative Party Chairman

CONTROLLING migration is a fundamental part of governing this country.

Understandably, it’s one of Brits’ main concerns – that’s why it’s one our top priorities. But make no mistake, Labour would hand over control of borders to anyone else but us.

Sir Keir Starmer spent years trying to frustrate Brexit. Now he’s planning to hand control of our borders over to Brussels.

But it doesn’t stop there. Starmer wouldn’t just junk our Rwanda plan, which is now up and running with planes soon off the ground. He would introduce an amnesty on illegal immigration – signalling to migrants across the world that the UK is a soft touch with wide-open borders.

Instead of gaining control of our borders, their big “idea” will help the smuggling gangs model flourish, lead to more unnecessary Channel deaths and let 90,000 illegal migrants stay permanently in the UK – putting pressure on our schools and NHS.

So, is it any wonder that four in five Brits don’t trust him to get a grip on the crisis?

Soft

They haven’t forgotten this man signed letters to stop foreign murderers and rapists from being deported. And whipped his MP to vote down our plans to stop the boats nearly 140 times. And called all immigration controls “racist”.

The message to Brits is clear – Labour doesn’t have a plan, because they don’t care about keeping our border secure. They don’t care about justice for the victims of foreign criminals. And they don’t care about the very real worries hard-working families across our country have about the scourge of illegal immigration and the dangers of criminal gangs.

The message from Brits is clear as day – Starmer’s soft touch is out of touch with what Brits want from a man auditioning for the top job.
