Enjoy plenty of ripe fruit in this gloriously fresh red from the well-established Chilean producer, particularly strawberries and cherries, with delightful floral hints. Light bodied, crisp and quaffable. Available from Asda and Waitrose.

3 Frog Chorus Fairtrade Rose 2023 (£7, 13.5%)

Be warned, this stunning South African rosé, crisp, light and medium-bodied, is likely to become a favourite. Luckily it won’t break the bank. Flavours and aromas of cherry, strawberry and a hint of rose petal are enchanting. Available from The Co-op.

4 Yarrunga Field Special Reserve White 2023 (£8.99, 10.5%)

An Aussie white bursting with flavour, this medium-bodied dry wine will give you plenty of bang for your buck. Tropical fruits, a hint of citrus and a herby finish. Yum. Available from Laithwaites.

5 Sierra Del Plata Malbec 2023 (£11.99, 13.5%)

For a ripe, fruity and mediumto full-bodied but refreshing red, try this Argentinian malbec. It offers blackberries and spice on the palate and a lovely, earthy aroma. Lip-smackingly good. Available from Laithwaites.

6 Kumeu Village Chardonnay 2023 (£12.95, 12.5%)

Dry and delicious, this Kiwi chardonnay delivers a fresh, bright taste with peach and apple aromas and a delicious, mineral finish. Available from The Wine Society.
