EASTENDERS

AN INDIAN SUMMER FOR MASOOD

-

Some men were simply born not to wear trousers, and Max is one of them. Given that he takes every opportunity to take them off, why bother putting them on in the first place? On Monday, he is determined to move back in with Tanya, but on Friday is angry when he receives Kirsty’s wedding ring in the post. He races off to find her, only to be confronted by her ex, Adam, and he gets a severe beating. Will Kirsty be at hand to soothe his troubled brow? With Tanya having left Walford with Oscar, Max might be in need of tender loving female care.

They are fond of towel shots in EastEnders – Christian emerging from the shower, Jack doing the same. Let’s just run that second one again: Jack emerging from the shower... Yes, I like that shot – and on Thursday it’s the turn of Ayesha. Desperate to prove that she is serious about wanting Masood, she dons a towel and tries to convince him (above).

Also on Thursday, Alfie has a surprise for Roxy – he has replaced Kat’s name with hers above the door of the Vic. How long have they been together? A month? Kat is shocked at the grand unveiling, but Roxy is thrilled. I’m with Jean, who thinks Alfie’s rushing things. Honestly, Alfie, half a lager and a Pretty Woman DVD is all you need these days to keep a woman.

Bianca has a brainwave on Tuesday (well, more of a small ripple) and talks to Kat about setting up a stall together. Alfie, ever the Good Samaritan, lends Kat some money, and on Thursday the entrepreneurs buy some garish stock (is there any other sort in that market?). After Bianca stole from them, the other traders are not happy, but Alfie manages to appease them. Ooh, can’t wait for that £1.60 evening dress.
