How the mighty are fallen. Poor old Ashley goes looking for accommodation on Monday and it seems as if a house share is the only thing he can afford. On Tuesday, he agrees to move in with Edna and Sandy (yes, things really are that bad. The Lord may provide, but he didn’t specify what).

On Wednesday, he and Laurel get drunk together, but will it be enough to reunite the once happy couple? Unlikely, because unbeknown to the them, Marlon is out buying a ring and preparing his proposal speech.

Thursday is a big day for Ashley, when he shaves his beard off. Hoo-flamin’-ray. It’s about time. That Catweazle look was never going to win the ladies over, but it seems that even this might be too little, too late, as he puts on a brave face in front of the newly engaged couple (right).

Also on Thursday, a dinner party at Amy’s turns to disaster. Yer don’t say.
