The first in the Drama Matters series of five original pilots by women writers is a nasty piece of work, or at least, it’s about a nasty piece of work – Anna Friel’s sadistically loopy Eve. It is quickly made abundantly clear that getting close to Eve is a dangerous game, but, while Friel plays wicked with aplomb, the tone is a little off-key.
