9PM, BBC2 It’s the fourth episode (of six) of a series that got off to a shaky start, but is firing on all cylinders now. The action kicks off with the Shelby clan’s bitter rivals, the Lee family, ransacking the betting shop while Thomas and Aunt Polly are out discussing family matters at the pub. The most pressing family issue is that Thomas’s widowed brother John has decided to remarry – and his choice of wife is, to put it mildly, controversial. Meanwhile, Grace is gleaning ever more information on the Shelbys, and Campbell is piling the pressure on Thomas to deliver Freddie Thorne and those stolen guns. Will Freddie show up when his baby is being born? And what will happen if he does?
