COMEDY Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Season 1)
An unstable but successful NYC lawyer chances upon her childhood crush – then quits her job, moves across the country in pursuit of him, and begins breaking into big musical numbers on the street. This brilliantly inventive comedy is written with great intelligence by Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada), and is performed with heart and smarts by Rachel Bloom.
DRAMA The Returned (Seasons 1-2)
Emotionally complex and visually stunning French drama in which the dead rise and try to return to their old lives in an Alpine town. NEW! Home: Adventures With Tip & Oh (Season 1) More fun with human girl Tip and her alien pal, Oh (right), in this spin-off cartoon based on the children’s movie Home. From Friday. MOVIE Funny Girl (1968) U A look at the life (the first bit of it, at least) of actress-singer-comedian Fanny Brice, with Barbra Streisand – like Brice, a jack of all trades – on Oscar-winning form in the lead.

DRAMA The Fall (Seasons 1-2) The tense BBC thriller that pits a steely police detective (Gillian Anderson) against a creepy serial killer (Jamie Dornan) in Belfast. The third series is due later this year.
COMEDY Strange Hill High (Both
seasons) Launched on CBBC by ex-Simpsons writer Josh Weinstein, this funny, offbeat show is one of those children’s series that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Richard Ayoade and the late Caroline Aherne provide the voices for some of the pupils at the very odd Strange Hill High, which is brought to life through a clever blend of puppetry and animation. ADVENTURE The Adventures Of Robin Hood (38 episodes) A real blast from the past, this blackand-white 1950s series stars Richard Greene as the Crusader who returns to find that his country has changed, and his lands are no longer his… MOVIE Pacific Rim (2013) 12 Director Guillermo del Toro (Crimson Peak) usually comes up with more cerebral fare, but with this monster mash-up (basically, Godzilla crossed with Transformers), he’s gone for full-on action. Brit Idris Elba stars.

This turbo-charged 21st-century remake of the 1970s classic has the jokey double act of Danno (an excellent Scott Caan, son of James) and Steve McGarrett at its heart. From Friday. COMEDY Nurse Jackie (All seven seasons) Jackie (Edie Falco, right) goes in and out of rehab across the 80 episodes of this nimble US mix of black comedy and drama, while balancing work, family, adultery and the dramas of her colourful colleagues.
LAST CHANCE The Jinx (All six parts)
High-class, mesmerising true-crime series about US property heir Robert Durst, who’s been suspected of involvement in one disappearance and two murders. It builds to a dramatic conclusion. Until Wednesday. MOVIE Ant-Man (2015) 12 Marvel’s tiniest hero gets a screen outing. Essentially, this is a revamped origins story, in which original Ant-Man Michael Douglas anoints a successor – unsuspecting Paul Rudd.
