PICK OF THE DAY
Casualty
8PM, BBC1 Charlie Fairhead (Derek Thompson) has been sighing away in Holby City for 30 years, and his team are planning a surprise party to celebrate. It’s Casualty’s most ambitious episode ever. ‘I couldn’t believe we’d attempt to do something that big!,’ said director Steve Hughes. The show’s six million fans will be thrilled, especially as it also features the return of Josh (Ian Bleasdale) and an appearance by the EastEnders legend Pam St Clement.
Go For It
7PM, ITV The search for a shiny new Saturday-night entertainment show to rival the success of The X Factor and Strictly continues. This new talent show, which rewards people with unique skills, isn’t it, but there’s still great fun to be had, especially if you enjoy the sight of people doing a Rubik’s Cube with their feet or smashing watermelons over their heads.
The X Factor
8PM, ITV It’s all change again at the good ship X Factor, but this time, there are some familiar faces among the crew. Only Captain Simon Cowell remains from the disastrous last series, and back on board come former crew members Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger, while Dermot O’Leary returns at the helm.
The Good Terrorist
