CORONATION STREET

UNLUCKIEST McDONALD CHAIN IN THE WORLD Poor Michelle. You can’t help wondering whether Kym Marsh ever wishes she were back in Hear’Say when the only thing she had to worry about was being a failed pop star. Now, here she is with another problem when Steve reveals that he might have the genetic disease Myotonic Dystrophy, which also puts babies at risk. Given that there are two women carrying his children, there is clearly double trouble ahead, but can anyone persuade Steve to take the test? Perhaps Leanne and Nick (pictured) can talk some sense into him. There are big worries for Gail again (as if continuing to wonder why her kitchen fitter ex never fitted a dishwasher wasn’t enough – the woman hardly ever leaves the sink). Feeling a failure as a parent, David seems close to the edge, and after saying he’s taking the kids for a spin, Gail is horrified to find a farewell message on his laptop (and we’re not talking ‘Off to Dev’s to get some milk’). At least Simon has some good news as he awaits the arrival of Peter to see him get his Player of the Year award. Not a bad achievement for a kid who gets most of his goal-kicking practice against The Kabin’s shop window. Will Peter turn up, or will that station bar prove too much of a temptation? There is a worrying turn of events over at Anna’s when Faye’s new mate Seb is a hit with Anna and Tim over dinner, but suddenly presents Faye with a strangely expensive gift.
