As the hit series returns, 25 raw recruits (including Anthony, right) embark on the challenge of a lifetime – attempting to complete the SAS’s selection process, overseen by Ant Middleton and his elite team. This time, they’re deep in the Amazonian rainforest where, on a unique, specially adapted version of the course, they’ll be pushed to the limit in a series of gruelling trials. Facing the ultimate test of their physical and psychological resilience in a hostile jungle environment isn’t going to be easy – and it starts the minute they arrive. Who will fall at the first hurdle?

This week, Gino D’Acampo explores Trentino-Alto Adige, a hidden gem 1,000m above sea level, in the far north of Italy. Bordering both Austria and Switzerland, it ‘looks like a fairytale’ and is home to the Dolomite mountains, a riot of fresh air, and emerald-green grass that gives local produce a zingy, herby freshness.
