Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond The Lobby

9PM, BBC2 In the final episode, Giles Coren and Monica Galetti visit the Swedish village of Jukkasjarv­i, 125 miles north of the Arctic Circle; in December, the sun stays below the horizon, and the temperatur­e drops to -30˚C. Carved from ice and snow in this magical but inhospitab­le landscape, the Icehotel melts with the thaw each spring and is rebuilt. But why, wonder Giles and Monica, do guests pay up to £1,000 a night to sleep in a bed made of ice, in a room kept at a bone-chilling -5˚C? There’s only one way to find out.
