Beeb’s gone to pot!

Was it really necessary for BBC2 to show more than 19 hours of snooker over the recent bank holiday weekend? Barely a sport, more a bar-room game, snooker must appeal to only a minority of viewers. The BBC should find a latenight slot to show edited highlights instead of offering live coverage, or screen it online. This will then give them enough time to broadcast more creative programmes or even show some real sport.
