The Nidderdale Way in north Yorkshire circles round the valley of the River Nidd for 53 miles, taking in woods, moors and glorious views. Clare Balding walks a section of the Way, and is joined by local walker Stephen Spelling and the Michelin-starred chef Frances Atkins. Frances, whose restaurant is on the route, explains how walking helps her to cope with the stress of working in a busy kitchen. Frances’s Labrador, Polly, brings her own canine enthusiasm to the outing.
