PLANT TENDER ANNUALS Tender annuals like sunflowers, zinnias, cosmos or tobacco plants can be planted out into all but the coldest gardens now, especially if you’ve hardened them off for at least a week. I like to use them in both containers and borders, in a sunny, sheltered situation.
