Four treasure troves containing £25,000 in gold bars must be won over the next four weeks – will you be lucky?

Myth and mystery, adventure and intrigue – can there be anything more thrilling than a treasure hunt? Now you can enjoy all the fun of the chase for yourself as we launch the fabulous Daily Mail £100,000 Treasure Hunt game. Each week for four weeks, one lucky reader will win a treasure trove containing £ 25,000 in gold bars. That’s £100,000 that must be won.

All you have to do each week is solve a series of simple clues or riddles, the answers to which will be linked to Britain’s majestic heritage. And best of all, you can do it all from the comfort of your armchair as the clues are printed each day in the Daily Mail. Each of the four treasure hunts will begin with a clue hidden in an artwork of a traditional British scene in Weekend magazine – today’s is over the page. The hunt will then take you through a series of riddles celebrating our wonderful heritage printed each Monday to Fri- day in the paper. The answers might be famous monuments, cities, rivers or national parks. Crack each riddle and write the answer in the grid provided in the paper next week. Then, after you’ve solved the final clue on Friday, the first letters of each of the six answers will give you an anagram of the final answer

– which will be one of the great jewels of British heritage.
