CAN YOU SPOT THE CLUES TO A HISTORIC ROYAL PALACE?

-

This glorious image of a modern-day medieval fayre at a grand old castle in high summer portrays the very best of British heritage. Knights joust before a blushing queen as the king roars his encouragement. The royal falconer shows off his skill with a golden eagle while children try their hand at archery, lose themselves in the maze or simply enjoy ice creams.

But look closely and see if you can spot three visual clues that, phonetically, make up the name of a historic royal residence. You’ll need this riddle to find them...

Once you think you’ve got it, write the answer down in the space provided – the first letter is one of the six letters you need to find this week’s solution. Starting on Monday and all next week in the Daily Mail, we’ll be printing five more clues in the form of riddles, the answers to which are steeped in Britain’s rich heritage. They could be famous landmarks or historic market towns, cathedral cities, rivers or national parks.

Write each answer down in the grid provided in the paper and when you’ve got all six on Friday, unscramble the first letters of each answer to reveal this week’s solution. Call, text or email on the hotlines when they open on Friday and leave your answer and your personal details. To be eligible to win, you must have retained four Daily Mail front pages from Saturday 1 July to Friday 7 July. If you’ve won, we’ll call you between 12 noon and 2pm on Saturday. And if not, don’t despair, there’s a fresh hoard of treasure waiting to be won each week for the next three weeks. Happy hunting!
