ARCHERS UPDATE

Prospective buyers for Home Farm are thin on the ground, and the Aldridges are giving off a whiff of desperation, ready to lure in anyone wanting to look at their fixtures, fittings and fancy kitchen. An odour of failure clings to the Bridge Farm cheese-makers as the cheese crisis deepens, but all these woes are as nothing to the miasma of despair hanging over the lethal roof of Lower Loxley Hall, where the Widow Pargetter is at her wits’ end. Meanwhile, Susan, who’s served a stretch for perverting the course of justice, is tempted to lie her way out of trouble, and Peggy serves up a big slice of tongue pie.
