10 YEARS AGO – CORRIE

Jerry Morton collapsed after being given an overdose of his bloodthinning medication by his ex-wife Teresa Bryant. Teresa (pictured, right) told paramedics Jerry had taken too much himself, but later admitted it was her fault.

15 YEARS AGO – EASTENDERS

Despite recently being released from prison for causing Jamie Mitchell’s death, Martin Fowler (played at the time by James Alexandrou, pictured) was in trouble again, for growing cannabis. Luckily for him, family friend Derek Harkinson took the blame.

20 YEARS AGO – EMMERDALE

Facing financial ruin and having been knocked back romantically by Biff Fowler, Lady Tara Oakwell sought comfort with friend Lord Michael Thornfield, who duly fell for her and proposed (pictured). They wed just a few weeks later.
