ARCHERS UPDATE
You may think it’s been a quiet summer for the current Beast of Ambridge, but the wildlife of Borsetshire could tell another tale. Even the birds of prey that hover over St Stephen’s take cover when Peggy’s cat is on the hunt. Hilda, like all predators, keeps an eye out for the weak and wounded and, this week, hapless Christine falls within her sights. Lynda also stalks the village looking for fresh blood for her Christmas venture. The fearful villagers, worried by all this, sign up for the karate class in droves. Meanwhile, Adam and Brian circle round each other looking for any sign of weakness, there’s trouble at Brookfield, and a looming problem with the flow of business and punters for the Grundy’s Cider Club.
