For the series, the mum of three and former model spent three months training on a busy maternity ward at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Essex, fulfilling her dream of becoming a midwife. She will be discussing her experience with Dermot O’Leary this morning.

Nigel Kneale’s legendary lost 1963 television play has been adapted by Toby Hadoke. Mark Gatiss and Adrian Scarborough star as a philosopher and a scientist investigating ghostly outbreaks in a country wood in 1768. Neither is quite prepared for the shocking truth that they uncover. Opera On 3: Das Rheingold

The Chorus and Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, conducted by Antonio Pappano, will be joined by a stellar cast for an epic performance of Das Rheingold, the first opera in Wagner’s epic

Ring cycle. John Lundgren is Wotan, while fellow baritone Johannes Martin Kranzle is Alberich, and tenor Alan Oke is Loge.
