2 FREAKY BACON

After my marriage to Noel had ended, the nightclub impresario Nur Khan, who was my boyfriend at the time, gave me this picture. It’s a portrait of photographer Peter Beard by the artist Francis Bacon. Peter had actually cut the picture out from the catalogue for a Bacon exhibition, and Bacon himself had painted over it and signed it for him. Peter gave it to Nur as a gift and he in turn gave it to me as a present to say thank you for the support that I had given him with one of his ventures.
