ARCHERS UPDATE

As we all know, the annual arrival of strawberry-pickers to Ambridge brings a flush to many a cheek, and a pillow full of tears for others. Alice, however, has a wheeze that could cut out this seasonal frolicking – a strawberry-picking robot. It would put an end to all those larks in the polytunnels, and it won’t be the only potentially life-changing proposal coming the Aldridge clan’s way this week. Also, as many of us guessed, Philip – Kirsty’s current squeeze – has a dark hinterland, and light will be shone upon it. Meanwhile, belts are tightened at Brookfield, Emma is anxious, Susan spots something suspicious, and one Ambridger makes a shocking decision.
