RAINIE STOPS PLAY

Rainie is thrilled when Max appears to be concerned for her well-being but is also annoyed that he still doesn’t trust her around baby Abi. However, when Rainie (pictured, with Abi) learns Max intends to play football instead of playing happy families she hatches a plan to make him change his mind, making her the only woman in Walford who goes out of her way to spend time with Max rather than cross the road to avoid him.

No sooner have we got rid of Bernadette, Ted and ‘chess gate’ than it looks like another dull, laborious storyline is about to unfold. This one concerns Mick, Mitch and the coaching of a local football team. The first thrilling instalment comes next week when a hired minibus doesn’t turn up. You’ll be on the edge of your seats. Away from the pitch, Mick and Linda have still not got their marriage back on track. But Mick opens up about his time in prison and the frostiness between them starts to thaw.

Stuart, the man responsible for Mick’s incarceration, risks losing the cosy set-up he has with Dot when she learns he stole a photo of Dr Legg’s wife. Dot orders Stuart to leave but has a change of heart. He may be the creepiest man on Albert Square but, compared to her son Nick, he’s cute and cuddly.

After Evie has a run-in with Phil and Dennis, she orders Tiffany to recruit Dennis to her drug gang. The way Dennis is turning out I doubt it will take much persuasion.
