There’s a delightfully playful quality to duets recorded by big stars. Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong collaborated on many albums, having lots of fun with their scat improvisations. More recently, Tony Bennett has teamed up with Christina Aguilera, and Tom Jones has laid down tracks with fellow Welsh singer Cerys Matthews. Don Black plays their duets, plus work by other duos. SJ
