The opening scene of tonight’s new series is an almighty tease: someone is getting married, but who? Whoever it is, kicking off the run with a wedding is a great way of stirring everything up, and such a big, confident start bodes well for the rest of the series. This episode also sees news for Pete and Jenny, and finds David in search of his mojo, but the dominant strand is Adam (James Nesbitt, centre right, with John Thomson and Robert Bathurst) and his increasingly embarrassing refusal to age with grace.
