Michael Mann revisits the streets and coastline of his 1980s TV series, recasting Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx as cops Crockett and Tubbs. Mann’s mastery of style, mood and action is very much in evidence, with angular shadows and masculine force replacing pastel hues and espadrilles.
