Originally made for the defunct pay channel ITV Encore, this drama about women selling sex in 1760s London has now had its terrestrial premiere. It’s got a good cast – Samantha Morton, Lesley Manville, Jessica Brown Findlay – and the whole of the first season is on iplayer. If you want more, two and three are on Starzplay.

Lee Mack stars as the world’s most put-upon man in this comedy, which unfolds in real time as his life gets more and more tragic. Samantha Spiro and Ellie White co-star.

THE REAL MCCOY

BBC IPLAYER ★★★★ The sketch show was a showcase for black and Asian talent such as Sanjeev Bhaskar and Meera Syal in the 1990s. And, while it’s certainly a time capsule of attitudes, it’s still funny – that Tv-am spoof in particular.

A one-off film from twins Xand and Chris van Tulleken that follows them on a personal journey through the pandemic. Chris starts work on the wards after a decade away, while Xand, who has already had coronavirus, volunteers at a care home in Peterborough – and later, he winds up in Chris’s A&E.
